Artist Bio
Colleen Lodge is a NYC based illustrator and zoological fine artist. She received a B.F.A. in Illustration with a minor in Native American Indian Studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Her Fine Art reflects her personal experiences with nature. She has exhibited and won awards from various galleries, museums and art competitions in Ireland and the United States. Her work has been recognized through artist-in-residencies, fellowships and grants. In addition she has also created paintings found in: private and corporate collections in Canada and the United States.
Her illustrations have been published in various scientific journals, textbooks, children's books, and magazines. Her commercial art has also been featured in: museum and zoo exhibits and signage, institutional and legal presentations, instruction manuals, greeting cards and novelty products.
Colleen’s professional affiliations include: The American Academy of Equine Art, The Guild of Natural Science Illustrators and The Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators. She also volunteers for animal therapy and wildlife conservation organizations.
